Knowing Your Numbers: Two
In my Knowing Your Numbers series, those who are new to numerology get to see how spiritual numbers work and manifest in our world; those who are familiar with numerology will get a nice refresher, with extras! In this post, we’ll be going over the number two.
2 energy is a powerful magnetizing force that draws in whatever it needs, which is why it’s traditionally associated with feminine energy, water, and maternity. It is also associated with lunar power, balance, and wealth. Twos also tend to balance, harmonize, and integrate using fundamental rules of the cosmos; it’s no wonder that it subsequently has such a strong connection to the occult, the hidden, and all things unseen!
Of course, 2 has its drawbacks. In an adverse expression, 2 energy generates blockages, delays, and decay. It has an association with death - not as much as the 9, which ensures death, but with the state of tomb-like stillness that the transition of death brings. When 2 energy is out of balance, it also brings destructive levels of psychic or emotional sensitivity, sleep disturbances, and depression.

Things to Take Advantage Of

Without trying, folks who have 2 energy can persuade or subtly influence things to go in the direction of their choice. They can also use that influence to bring or restore calm, build bridges, and negotiate between adversarial parties. They are often spiritually and creatively fertile, and may even have many children! They can keep secrets well, which makes them great therapists, counselors, and priests (where discretion is critical). When they use that perpetually-attuned ear to the wall between this dimension and the others for good, people who have 2 energy often thrive without having to do very much.
Things to Be Mindful Of
Weak boundaries, co-dependency, allowing others to break down one’s defenses, hypersensitivity, and depression. Folks with a lot of 2 energy can be too invested in anywhere-but-here, which can lead to the neglect of worldly affairs in pursuit of the unknown. They would do well to actively refrain from holding things in: when they refuse to express themselves or their needs, they bring about blockage not only for themselves, but for their endeavors, and potentially everyone else around them.
